November 28th - Saleen Releases New Mustang S281 SC

With the 2005 Ford Mustang just starting to hit showrooms in North America, Saleen picked the perfect time to release their tuned version of the 'Stang. Under the hood lies a supercharged version of Ford's stock 4.6 litre V8 engine which pumps out 400 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.

Aside from all the power, the most amazing feature of the Saleen S281 SC Mustang has to be its exterior styling. The retro look, which is modeled after the 1965 Ford Mustang, gives the S281 SC a classic and sporty look. Saleen has added a beautiful aftermarket bodykit, spoiler, grille and racing wheels. As with all of Saleen's tuned models, the S281 SC comes with large, drilled brake rotors and sport callipers, as well as a racing suspension. These aftermarket parts transform the capable stock Mustang into a machine that goes, turns and stops very well.

A price has not been released for the Saleen 281 SC, although the MSRP will most likely be in the $50,000 range. With a combination of explosive power, exceptional exterior styling and solid braking and handling, the S281 SC is certainly another gem created by the good folks at Saleen Motorsports.

November 26th - Ferrari unveils new roadster: the Superamerica

For 2005, Ferrari has created a super-sexy convertible by chopping the top off of the 575M Maranello. The Superamerica is powered by a 5.7 litre V12 which pumps out 540 horses and 434 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox or a sequential transmission operated by paddles on the steering wheel transfer the power to the wheels.

On the outside, the Superamerica features a graceful, sleek design and utilises the first electronically tinting roof ever created. With the top up, the driver can change the tint of the window glass to one of 5 different settings. Handling and braking performance are both outstanding - Ferrari did a sensational job keeping the ridgity in this vehicle after removing the top.

The Superamerica will also be one of the most expensive roadsters in history, with a base price expected to be in the $250,000 range. GTJournal.com expects the machine to roll onto the market by the late spring of 2005. We will bring you model overview of the Superamerica, as soon as test statistics and photos have been released - stay tuned until then.
